Established in 1776 and named after the Provincial Governor of Georgia, Archibald Bulloch, Bulloch County has a rich history of people and their stories. Early settlers were made up of herdsmen and farmers. With their dedication and dream, they built what is now the 8th largest of Georgia's 159 counties. The Bulloch County Historical Society, active for over 40 years and comprised of over 200 members, is dedicated to educating the community about the history of Bulloch County with various society-sponsored programs and its newsletter entitled Rambling through Bulloch, which is showcased here. The Bulloch County Historical Society officially accepted the emblem of the orginization, shown as the collection's image on homepage. The official emblem is used on the orginizations' official papers, stationary and newsletter.
